THE ROLE

Wahaca is on the hunt for a passionate, energised, local marketing executive to grow awareness at a local level and ultimately the number of people eating at our restaurants around the UK.
We’re offering a 12-month contract starting ASAP (potential to extend depending on performance and business need).
The focus is clear: get more people to know and try Wahaca. You’ll build campaigns, relationships and irresistible activations, testing, learning, optimising and scaling what works as well as activating opportunities for events and private hires. You’ll come up with ideas that will cut through and get people to eat at and recommend Wahaca. You’ll collaborate with the broader marketing team, feeding into digital and real-world activations. Excitingly, this role will support on new restaurant openings, so experience of new openings is a bonus.
You’re creative, entrepreneurial, a self-starter, and keen to make an impact and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty. You’re a proven salesperson, an excellent communicator and very well organised. You’ll have a balance of digital skill, creativity, and a passion for Mexican food as well as have an eye on what’s happening in the wider world of food and restaurants. Alongside all this, you will personify Wahaca as a brand ambassador, representing the brand with a sense of confidence and hospitality.
You’ll work with the marketing team, restaurant teams, the food and operations teams, senior leaders and relevant suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, manage and deliver local marketing activations for key restaurants, growing the number of guests
  • Grow customers coming to newly opened Wahaca restaurants
  • Create toolkits for restaurant teams to use to capture local footfall
  • Work with local partners and Property Managers to maximise opportunities to showcase the brand
  • Build buzz at a local level around the Wahaca brand
  • Lead communications for private events
  • Lead on big budget private hire
  • Bring brand campaigns to life at a local level
  • Partner with the marketing team to increase visibility of priority restaurants on digital channels
  • Propose, deliver and evaluate customer events
  • Write creative briefs to hit our business objectives
  • Test, learn, iterate, and scale your ideas to have the maximum business impact
