Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This pivotal role of Assistant Building Manager, within the Service Delivery Team, was created to provide support to the Building Managers and assist with the supervision of Service Delivery Coordinators. These posts form the Teams that ensure the diverse range of buildings that form the House Commons element of the Parliamentary Estate are a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for Members, their staff, and staff of the House to work in; as well as providing a welcoming and functional environment for all visitors to the House of Commons.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide support to the Building Manager and deputise in their absence.
  • Supervise the Service Delivery Coordinators supporting, motivating, and utilising a coaching approach to assist in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Respond to and resolve, a wide range of customer queries, by telephone, email, face-to-face or in writing. You will be in contact with a wide range of people including, Members of Parliament, members of the public, staff of the House, contactors and other external organisations.
  • Carry out weekly cleaning inspections.
