Description:
The Assistant Business Manger will p rovide leadership and management skills to coordinate the Level 3 (advanced practice, GPwER & SEM consultant Musculoskeletal service) and level 2 (physiotherapy and occupational therapy) administrative services, for the Musculoskeletal Service, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin (MSST) . The post holder will deputise for the business manager and will work with MSST admin partners to deliver an efficient administrative function.
To work with the administrative team leader to ensure that a smooth and effective, high quality administrative service is provided by the administration team to clinicians, patients and associated partners.
The post holder will identified day to day capacity and demand and liaise directly with the Clinical service managers in the planning of activity to ensure the service is able to achieve its required performance targets. In addition you will manage the off site admin office in Shrewsbury.

The post- holder will provide the day to day planning, operational management and will inform scheduling of clinics and associated support including being the first point of call to clinicians and external /partner organisations.
You will work closely with the MSST partners, identifying changes in referral rates and escalate fluctuations and pathway errors to the appropriate person to minimise harm to patients through delay.
The post- holder will support and monitor the delivery of all key performance indicators (KPI’s), including 18 weeks RTT, DNA’s and other targets in liaison with the Business Manger and MSST partners
You will support the Business manager to compile local reports that are not with in the remit of the information department eg backlog reporting and to take action where appropriate and to escalate concerns in a timely fashion.
You will ensure that the day to day clinic capacity is managed to its full potential, ensuring that any appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner to achieve full efficiencies and utilisation.
you will be responsible for the line management of administrative staff and the HCAs as required including recruitment, retention, attendance management including annual leave.
