JOB DESCRIPTION

Aramark is looking to hire an Assistant Catering Manager to join our team in beautiful Kamloops, BC. The Assistant Catering Manager will be responsible for ensuring events are executed accurately and to the conference center standard by the catering team, that the catering department is supplied for all that is needed in order to execute an event, to manage the staff required to execute all conference center activity (with the exception of set-up crew members), and fore planning for operational requirements. This position will report to the Catering Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • 1-2 years Catering experience is required
  • Food Safe Certificate required or willing to obtain
  • Serving it Right Certificate required or willing to obtain
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, analysis, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients’ needs
  • Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
