JOB SUMMARY
Position Summary: Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre Calgary Airport is looking for the position of Assistant Catering Manager who provides support to our sales and events team. This role is the first point of contact with customers. Must be comfortable dealing with customers in person, over the phone, and via email. This position has great growth potential for the right individual.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· A minimum 1-2 years of hotel experience required.
· Previous sales and/or events experience is an asset.
· Previous experience demonstrating stellar customer service required.
· Must be able to consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures.
· Must be reliable and a team player.
· Critical Skills Required: Proficient with computers and Microsoft Suite programs, ability to learn systems quickly and follow procedure, ability to show sense of urgency, works well under pressure, and reliable.
Required experience: Sales and Marketing: 2 Years required
Required education: Diploma in Hospitality Management
Languages: Candidate should have good English speaking and writing skills
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Administrative Duties including creation of proposals, contracts and banquet event order through the events system, providing event invoices to the accounting team, and providing event and group information to the banquets team.
· Lead catcher that captures all important/relevant event requirements, sharing this with the appropriate sales or events manager.
· Conduct site tours for potential clients
· Work with industry tools such as Opera, Lanyon, Meeting Broker, RFP to shift identified market share.
· Ensuring rooms & Event billings are all in order and accurate and PM accounts are being closed in a timely manner.
· Social media and other duties may be required.
· Provides daily sales and catering reports from the events system.
· Group Housing Coordinator - looks after all reservations for incoming groups.
· Duties as assigned by the Management.
