Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Cook to join our dynamic team at Srisun Express. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality food that meets our standards for taste, presentation, and efficiency.
You will work closely with the Head Cook/Chef and kitchen staff to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Physically fit to handle long hours and the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate is a plus).
  • Flexible to work on weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation :Assist in the preparation of ingredients (e.g., washing, chopping, peeling) for daily menu items.Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Head Cook/Chef.Cook simple dishes or assist with bulk cooking processes.
  • Kitchen Operations :Ensure kitchen workstations are clean and organized at all times.Assist in plating and serving food to ensure timely service.Maintain proper storage of food supplies, ingredients, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Inventory and Supplies :Monitor inventory levels and inform the Head Cook of replenishment needs.Assist in unpacking and storing fresh produce, dry goods, and other kitchen supplies.
  • Hygiene and Safety :Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards, including cleaning equipment and kitchen spaces.Ensure compliance with SFA regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Team Support :Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during peak hours.Take on additional tasks as required by the management.
