The Role
Supports the Chief Engineer in leading the Engineering Team to carry out daily operations.
- Actively involved in leading the team to maintain the overall hotel facility & properties. (Mechanical, Electrical Fire Protection System).
- Plan preventive and corrective maintenance works, and monitoring to ensure maintenance are carry out accordingly.
- Conduct site surveys for area improvement.
- Energy audit and analysis utilities usage.
- Develop and implement energy conservation program, sustainable program.
- Conduct daily operation briefing and communication with all associates.
- Coordinate maintenance team to attend to daily facilities and maintenance requests.
- Manage outsourced vendors services.
- Attend to guests’ feedback and take action.
- Conduct fire safety installation check to ensure all fire safety requirements implemented.
- Attend to emergencies during and after office hours such as major power failure or blackout.
- To monitor associate service delivery. Conduct inspections or checks to ensure work is completed satisfactorily.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in manpower roster and deployment, staff recruitment, staff welfare, staff grievance and disciplinary issues.
- Conduct performance appraisals for associates and manage their performance; training that aligns with established hotel standards.
- Conduct training for subject of WSH (Workplace safety and health), ISO, MEFP (Mechanical Electrical Fire and Plumbing) Operation and Maintenance.
- Execute hotel property improvement projects (CAPEX).
