Our opportunity
As an Assistant Community Development Manager, you will be responsible for realising community development and social sustainability outcomes across our residential projects in Victoria. The role will coordinate the planning and delivery of a broad range of community development initiatives and assist with the creation of community-building and placemaking strategies throughout the entire development process.
This position is a fixed-term parental leave cover for 12 months.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the creation and implementation of project Community Development Strategies throughout the development process including: supporting with visioning; research and community needs analysis; and stakeholder identification and engagement
Prepare and implement Annual Community Development Plans in consultation with key Mirvac and external stakeholders.
Monitor effectiveness against expected outcomes and update as required, ensuring all activity occurs in alignment with Mirvac’s sustainability strategy and Community Development Framework, delivering on required targets and objectives.
Coordinate the development and delivery of projects, activities and community-level events to improve outcomes for the community in accordance with the plan agreed.
Your point of difference
You will have demonstrated experience in the management of stakeholder and community liaison, consultation and communications, including working with local councils in addition to community groups and associations.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills; coupled with the ability to work largely independently and to set priorities, plan/organise work and meet deadlines.
Ability to establish rapport and build community networks to deliver appropriate community outcomes with a commitment to community participation.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined integrated development business leveraging relationships across all departments including but not limited to Development, Sales & Marketing and Construction.
A Current Drivers Licence and access to a personal vehicle is required (appropriate compensation for work use will be forthcoming)
