SUMMARY

The Assistant Community Manager fully supports the Sr. Community Manager in all functions to manage the property. The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for a significant portion of the on-site accounting functions as well as leasing apartments. In the absence of the Sr. Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager will assume all responsibilities of the Community Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • High school diploma required. College degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Assistant Community Manager experience required.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Apartment Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Strong computer, email and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Property management software experience in Yardi, RealPage, Onesite, Epay, PayScan, SafeRent and Vaultware preferred. Experience with internet marketing tools preferred.

    Compensation, Benefits and Requirements
    This position is Hourly: highly competitive and commensurate with experience. The compensation structure includes an hourly base, paid bi-weekly. This is a full-time, NON-EXEMPT position (Salary 65k-72k) requiring 40 hours per work week. MPM offers a well-rounded benefits package, including health, disability, life, and 401k retirement. Responsibilities:

  • Consistently demonstrates commitment to company mission and core values of Integrity, Excellence, Care & Respect and Vitality.
  • Adheres to all Mack Property Management employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.
  • Assists the Community Manager with the coordination of day-to-day activities of the community in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining office clerical, filing and record keeping systems.
  • Anticipates, identifies and strives to meet the resident’s needs.
  • Effectively communicates to existing residents and establishes a successful renewal program.
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly reports to include preparing daily bank deposits, collecting, recording and depositing rental payments, application fees and security deposits.
  • Issues appropriate notices when necessary including late payments, eviction notices, and returned check memos.
  • Performs move-in inspections with new residents; maintains legal records/files.
  • Updates required reports concerning move-out notices.
  • Obtains lease information and completes lease applications; conducts required credit and reference checks.
  • Accepts service requests from residents and routes to maintenance personnel for prompt handling.
  • Assists with resident problems and complaints concerning rent payments, service requests, etc.; assists with preparation of newsletters, promotion flyers and planning of community activities.
  • Assists with lease renewal program.
  • Responsible for conversion of telephone and walk-in guests to leases, show apartments, follow-up with guests and phone traffic, and conduct periodic market surveys.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
