Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Assistant Company Secretary to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers. Proud winners of the ‘Best Place to Work’ award at the Hampshire Business Awards 2023!
Supporting our General Counsel and the broader legal team, in this role you will be responsible for providing proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the Board and subsidiary Committees in ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements. This role will assist in the administration of company affairs, maintaining statutory records and facilitating communication between the Board and management.
You will play a key role in taking ownership of creating and collating Board packs for various meetings and committees, including liaising with the Chairman. You will maintain board and board committee calendars, seeking and monitoring availability for additional meetings as necessary and taking minutes and following up on action points from meetings and providing governance advice. As we are a small legal team, you will support other team members with various activities in relation to the SM&CR, company policies and procedures and statutory related activities (such as company filings).
This role will benefit a hybrid working arrangement, to be based between our London office (3 days) and working the rest of the week from home.
