The Opportunity
Working with the Company Secretary, the Assistant Company Secretary will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support and guidance to the Board of Directors and the broader organisation. This role ensures that the company’s decisions and instructions are properly carried out and communicated, and that the company complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as act as a support function for all governance related matters within the company.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
Responsibilities:
3. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Working with the Executive Assistant, assist with the management of board processes.
- Ensure that necessary registers are maintained.
- Verify that reports are prepared in accordance with board and shareholder expectations.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance or commerce is required.
- The incumbent should ideally be a member of the Governance Institute of Australia or other associated professional certification.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of knowledge of corporate governance requirements, protocols and processes
