REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Competency in Microsoft Dynamics – NAV would be considered an asset.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed and/or work flexible shifts.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting is preferred.
  • CPA designation
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting within a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Providing leadership, training, and development to finance and accounting staff
  • Responsible for providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses and coordinating or assisting with the budget and forecasting process
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis and commentary
  • Support the design and creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, KPI tools and dashboards
  • Monitor administrative procedures and delegate tasks
  • Highlight any control weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Provide external auditors with required financial information in order to ensure compliance with ASPE.
  • Adhere to all company and ISO standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
