Intralox L.L.C. Europe has an opening for an experienced Assistant Controller to support our growing business.
We are looking for an ambitious financial professional with strong analytical skills and a critical eye. As Assistant Controller you’re responsible for assisting in managing the financial operations for the EMEA region, including accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory adherence. This role demands a strong grasp of accounting principles, tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic international environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency of digital solutions in financial processes. The position will be a key member of our Global Finance and Accounting Team and will be based out of our Hoofddorp location.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related study, with minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Problem solving mindset, ability to simplify
  • Proven work experience in manufacturing industry highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of European indirect taxes
  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps, Power BI or other analytical tools
  • Passion for leveraging technology in finance
  • Strong communication skills. Mastery of the Dutch and English language
  • Able to collaborate with a multi-department team
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month-end close, including planning and scheduling
  • Review of general ledger accounts for accuracy, completeness, and trends
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end analysis of variances and margins
  • Subject matter expert on supply chain flows and transactions
  • Work directly with operational teams on issue resolution and process improvements
  • Participate and sometimes lead, recurring meetings with various departments, with constant awareness of finance and accounting impacts
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of internal controls and process documentation
  • Coordinate external audits and preparation of financial statements and disclosures
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Preparing and submitting various declarations (e.g. ICP, CBS, Environmental, etc.).
  • Participate in projects driven by department and/or company initiatives, including systems/process improvements
