Required Skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Well-developed analytical, financial & cost accounting, budgeting and financial reporting skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly to non-financial managers and provide the information needed for good decision-making communication (both oral and written).
- Organizational and time management skills that support meeting deadlines, balancing multiple priorities and improving effectiveness.
- Be comfortable taking initiative and working independently
Required Experience
- Professional designation in good standing (CPA) or working towards completion of.
- 3+ years in industry with full cycle accounting experience.
- Advanced computer skills in Excel, accounting software and database management.
- Experience with the preparation of financial statements and year-end working papers.
- Experience working in the Agricultural, Heavy Duty or Automotive industries will be an asset
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements: monthly customized financial, balance sheet and performance reports for all managers.
- Prepare a monthly cash flow and net working capital report for the CFO.
- Manage and complete the full year budget process with all department managers.
- Identify and present ways to continuously improve budgeting accuracy.
- Year-end procedures/reporting for external auditors.
- Report creation/preparation as required by Divisional Senior Leadership.
- Analytics and trend analysis, with recommendations for improvement.
- Assist accounting staff as needed and provide training as required.
- Use your professional skillsets to follow and improve upon existing accounting procedures and policies.
