POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Controller will deliver financial leadership across a division, directly supporting senior management in planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role is ideal for a finance professional eager to shape strategy, improve processes, and drive both short- and long-term business performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Experience: 5+ years in finance/accounting in manufacturing with focus on costing and inventory control; experience in publicly listed companies.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in IFRS, internal controls, and ERP systems (IFS or OneStream a plus).
• Leadership & Communication: Skilled in team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and MD&A presentations to senior leaders.

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive annual business and strategic plans; actively contribute to Sales & Operations Planning.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee monthly reports, conduct variance analysis, and manage annual cost studies.
• Operational Finance Management: Lead accounts receivable, manage supplier relationships, and evaluate capital expenditure.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure IFRS and internal control compliance, including internal audits.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor the finance team, conduct performance reviews, and promote health and safety standards.
