POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing the entire month-end close process and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Oversee and manage the entire month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the balance sheet by conducting thorough reviews and reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and variances in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate supporting documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
