Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller based in Issaquah, Washington. The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in managing corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and J-SOX, and overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements. This role will also involve working closely with internal and external auditors, managing accounting staff, and liaising with various business leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee corporate accounting functions to ensure adherence to US GAAP, J-SOX, and internal policies.
- Participate in financial consolidation activities and serve as a point of contact for designated divisions or subsidiaries.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with the Tax Program Manager in the preparation and review of tax returns, including Federal, State, and Foreign income taxes.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and resolving audit inquiries.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Manage, guide, and develop accounting staff, providing training and performance management.
- Work with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and compliance matters.
- Maintain and update accounting procedures, policies, and process control documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff, management, external auditors, compliance authorities, professional advisors, and shareholders on accounting and tax matters.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 + bonus.
