JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will actively participate in the generation of financial statement(s), budgeting, data analytics, office administration support, and researching process automation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor budget performance, prepare reporting, provide variance analysis to assist in financial planning.
- Provide accounts payable support for multi-location businesses.
- Participate in cash-flow planning and forecasting.
- Government remittance coordination.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
- Utilize data analytics tools to enhance financial reporting and decision-making processes.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for process automation within the accounting function.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and tools to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement automation solutions
