ASSISTANT COOK- ST SAVIOUR’S SCHOOL - WALTHAMSTOW - LONDON -

• 30 hours per week
• 44 week contract
• 6 weeks holiday to be taken during term time only with an additional 2 weeks off at Christmas as Nursery is closed
• Candidate needs to have cooking experience, be able to cook from recipes and special dietary menus.
• Work alongside the Chef Manager during term time and alone with a GA during School Holidays for Nursery.
• Duties:
• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
• Oversee and assist kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
• Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes
• Monitor food quality and taste for consistency
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with the chef to develop new menu items
  Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work well in a team environment
