Description:

At Clinical Research Facility (CRF) and Queen Square Clinical Trial Centre (QSCTC), we are responsible for managing a large, internationally recognized portfolio of research activity.
An exciting opportunity has risen within the CRF/QSCTC finance team to join as an Assistant Management Accountant to provide a comprehensive financial management support to the Clinical Research Facility and Queen Square Clinical Trial Centre (QSCTC).

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and reliable individual with experience of working within a Finance department. You will be:

  • Technically competent
  • Have great attention to detail abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in Accounting packages – Oracle
  • Microsoft skills such as – Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders including clinicians.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate into meaningful financial reports
  • First degree or studying towards CCAB/CIMA/ ACCA professional Accountancy qualification.

Reporting to and supervised by Finance Manager, Assistant Cost and Management Accountant will provide costing and management accounting support to CRF, QSCTC and Principal Investigators in commercial and non-commercial studies, grants applications and other ad hoc requests.
Raise purchase orders though UCLH finance systems as required for external purchases associated with the CRF and QSCTC and follow up on these as needed, and assist with ordering, purchase & maintenance of office equipment, supplies and stationery when required.
Ensure that any internal recharges required are carried out on schedule and together with the JRO finance teams, maintain / update the Trust’s General Ledger system to accurately reflect the financial position of the CRF and QSCTC.
Support the CRF Finance Manager and QSCTC in all aspects of financial management, including preparation of planning and reports and optimization of budgets and resources.
