Description:

Analytical Assist in creating and run reports in Microsoft SQL Server. Completes the preparation and quality assurance of routine internal and external information returns relevant to the postholders area of responsibility. Assist in ensuring that Navigo’s information systems meet organisational data needs and support mandatory data collection and performance indicators. Support Performance team to provides analytical support to Navigo by developing and delivering customised ad-hoc management reports/information packs.
Assists in preparation of data for regular meetings Ensures that all relevant data is received and input onto the information systems to enable Navigo’s reporting timetables to be met. Scrutinises Navigo performance on national mental health dashboards, investigating any discrepancies between local data and national submissions and make amendments to the national reporting process, as necessary Interprets and benchmarks national and local data to support strategic function. Maintains a detailed knowledge of NHS data definitions, standards and guidance on healthcare information to ensure that systems are implemented and maintained. Manipulation of large datasets and creation of spread sheets as well as analysing and resolving queries and discrepancies.
Analyses situations to identify and resolve problems relating to the Mental Health clinical system and the Incident and Accident Reporting System Supports in the implementation, on-going development and maintenance of Navigo information systems used by the Mental Health Service to ensure they meet the information needs of Navigo. Investigates national dataset post deadline files to improve data quality. Ensures the Data Quality Maturity Index is kept to a high level Extracts and analyses patient clinical records, applying sound judgement to interpret information that may not be easily coded Communication The post holder will Form and maintain effective working relationships with: - Internal Assistant Director of Quality and Performance Head of Performance and Information Performance Team Quality Team Clinical Leads Quality and Performance Secretaries Other Mental Health Service Staff (Clinical and Non-Clinical) External TPP SystmOne Other system suppliers Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Partnership (ICB) Information Teams across the Region NHS England Communicates analytical/statistical matters to non-analytical/statistical professionals, advises, persuades on statistical techniques to be used. Able to explain complex and technical information governance issues to non-information staff.
Planning Adhere to relevant legislation and standards to safeguard information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manage tasks with competing priorities and prioritise workload to meet project timelines. Aid in producing data for projects, business cases and quality improvement plans. To regularly report on progress, monitoring progress against plan, delivery of the project purpose, and post project review to the appropriate forum (project or quality improvement plan lead) Establishes, develops and maintains information systems to record information for New Initiatives and Diversionary Schemes.
Policy Operate within organisational and professional policies and procedures, exercising initiative while seeking guidance from managers when necessary. HR and Training Provide support to other members of the Performance team as required, around own areas of work. Provides basic guidance on the mental health clinical system and incident and Accident Reporting System. Identifies any training needs around the Mental Health Clinical System and the Incident and Accident Reporting System and works with the System Trainer to resolve them.
Continues professional development to ensure they are kept up to date with new ways of working within their expertise Utilises online community groups relevant to profession (i.e., NHS Future Collaborations) for support and new developments. Undertake surveys and audits as necessary to own work. To provide cross-cover, ensuring continuity of service during periods of annual leave/sickness. Able to prioritise own workload and that of direct report to ensure adherence to timetables.
Provide cross cover support within the analyst sub team. Information Provides and receives information on the mental health clinical system. Maintains and develops in depth of knowledge of the Mental Health clinical system and the Incident and Accident Reporting System setup
