Assistant Designer (Contract-to-Hire, Remote)
Role:
We are seeking a Remote Assistant Designer to join our in-house design team of data storytellers. This is a contractor position, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after three months. This flexible, fully remote position is ideal for someone passionate about design, with a keen interest in data visualization and a drive for professional growth. Our ideal candidate is deeply interested in entertainment, technology, and gaming. They will thrive on crafting compelling presentation deliverables, helping clients navigate consumer insights, and creating standout marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with research analysts to design custom quantitative and qualitative research report decks.
  • Develop presentation templates and polish reports, primarily using Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
  • Leverage Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) for custom illustrations, layouts, and graphics.
  • Design marketing and internal materials such as one-sheets, blog post assets, business cards, and collateral for our Syndicated Products.
  • Partner with the Design Team to refine processes and enhance data visualization capabilities across the company.

Experience:

  • Coursework or professional experience in Graphic Design is essential.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint required, familiarity with Google Slides, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) preferred.
  • Proficiency in image editing
  • Experience with data visualization, information design, and layout design preferred.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with animation and illustration.
  • Visual thinker and storyteller with the ability to produce well-crafted visualizations from raw data
  • Team player and self-starter with minimal need for supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills while handling multiple ongoing projects
  • Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams of senior project managers and research analysts
  • Passion for industries like gaming, entertainment, and technology.

Compensation
The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $16 -$20 per hour, is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations
