OVERVIEW

Join our Building & Facilities team as an Assistant Director, where you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and development of our premises. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, drive green initiatives, and ensure operational excellence in a modern, technology-driven environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Facilities Management, Estate Management or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, sustainability practices, and operational efficiency
- Professional certifications (e.g. Green Mark Accredited Professional, Fire Safety Manager) are advantageous
- Familiarity with statutory requirements, benchmarks and Singapore Standards/Code of Practice related to building management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop a team of facilities operations staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance and operations of DSTA premises, liaising with internal teams and external vendors
- Implement processes, guidelines and initiatives to maintain a safe, hygienic, and conducive working environment
- Promote sustainability and green initiatives to improve efficiency and environmental impact
- Plan and oversee budgets for facilities maintenance, optimising expenditures and identifying cost-savings measures
- Source, evaluate and establish manage contracts related to facilities maintenance and management
- Prepare reports and proposals on facility enhancements, sustainability, and operational improvements
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, benchmarks and Singapore Standards/Code of Practice for building management
- Lead facilities renewal projects, including addition & alteration works, to meet evolving needs
- Analyse operational data, such as utilities consumption, equipment performance and service level, to support decision-making and improvements
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned
