Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead, develop, and engage a team of professionals to drive high performance within the RFP function.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and persuasive responses for RFPs, helping win new business or retain existing clients across our markets in Asia, Europe, and the Americas (client segments: Institutional, Intermediary, Life).
  • Drive productivity and efficiency by optimizing processes, embracing technology, and exploring potential outsourcing opportunities to enable the team to focus on value-added work.
  • Work closely with RFP sponsors and internal stakeholders to manage the RFP pipeline; define priorities and project deadlines.
  • Allocate RFP writers based on importance, urgency, and strategic focus.
  • Establish deliverables, priorities, and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
  • Improve proposal writing results by collaborating with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Maintain accurate content in the RFP Library (Qvidian) and foster efficient relationships with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Oversee timely and accurate management of content in consultant databases.
  • Understand clients’, consultants’, and prospects’ varying needs and sophistication levels. Tailor responses accordingly.
  • Own relationships with internal and external service providers and client contacts to ensure service levels and issue resolution.Rigorously adhere to approved review, compliance, and record-keeping procedures.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing /Finance) with 10+ years of proven investment writing and editing experience in the financial services industry, ideally covering equity, fixed income, and multi-asset classes.
  • Very strong investment knowledge and a general understanding of financial markets.
  • Ideally from an investment management background with good product knowledge and the ability to develop narratives.
  • Strong relationship-building and people leadership & management skills are a must.
  • Ability to deal with and influence senior key stakeholders within the firm.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical writing and editing.
  • Exhibits problem-solving skills and can analyze data.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest RFP-related technology developments and has experience in optimising processes using technology.
  • Takes accountability and responsibility.
  • Personal integrity, strong work ethic, and client service-oriented.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, forward-thinking, self-motivated, and energetic.
  • Capacity to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a high-paced working environment.
  • Accuracy is highly imperative; an eye for detail and comfort with numbers are essential requirements.
