JOB SUMMARY/BASIC FUNCTION
High School Dual Enrollment (HSDE) is a program that allows high school students to earn college-level credits while completing their high school credentials. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at the high schools, with students paying $5 per credit hour. This allows students to access college-level courses at a significantly reduced rate where students can earn a credential when graduating high school.
Under the direction of the Executive Director for High School Dual Enrollment, the Assistant Director serves as one of our stakeholders’ primary contacts to facilitate the program’s operational side. This individual works with high school administrators, teachers, district leaders, Weber State academic departments, the Registrar, and Admissions to ensure all stakeholders have what they need to offer the concurrent enrollment program in their high schools. This can involve creating policies and implementing them, streamlining processes, and assisting with events the department hosts. The Assistant Director will manage MyCE, Starfish, and Banner software to ensure proper tracking and program processes.
This role requires building strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. It is a unique role that spans different areas within Dual Enrollment and will help students be successful during their time as concurrent enrollment students at Weber State University.
