DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Director is an experienced Senior Educator who provides strong leadership support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre. The Assistant Director works to support the team in the development and delivery of high-quality education and care, and actively mentors and develops the broader team.

Our wonderful Richmond Centre is now looking for an experienced Assistant Director to join our well-established team. About the role

  • Work closely with our experienced Centre Director on day-to-day operations, and step up to cover the role in their absence
  • Create positive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families
  • Leverage your experience as you float between rooms to develop and deliver high standards of educational programs
  • Seek perspectives, actively listen, and take on board feedback that further develops ideas or resolves concerns
  • Demonstrate that you are warm, compassionate, and gentle with your communication and have strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills
  • Focus on quality improvement and supporting teams to understand and follow Green Leaves policy and procedure
  • Display high levels of initiative and motivation whilst being proactive and flexible with a mature approach
  • Be available to work part-time or full-time hours each week, on rotating shifts between 6.30 am and 6:30 pm

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
  • State-relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively.
