JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Director of the Institute and the AVP of ORED, the Assistant Director provides support to the Director with minimal supervision thus providing a significant leadership role in the Institute. The Assistant Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Institute, supervises student assistants, interacts with Institute partners, and manages the delivery of programs. The Assistant Director also supports the Director in fund raising and budgeting for the Institute.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
- Graduate degree in a business-related field and three years of related experience preferred.
PHYSICAL SUMMARY
- Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Institute - Work with Director and other staff to ensure compliance with all university policies and the Institute’s strategic plan. Organize campus programs, working with the Director and Administrative Coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Manage data collection efforts and survey development for program feedback and the collection of key performance indicators for Institute efforts.
- Assist with fundraising and budgeting - Work with Institute team to support fund raising and budgeting as well as coordinate reporting requirements to ORED and funding organizations.
- Support the Director in the implementation of DEIA strategies and data collection to ensure our efforts meet the DEIA objectives established for our programs and mentoring.
