Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent will manage and supervise a lean team to run the daily operations of the College’s Engagement & Outreach Office, taking care of the following matters, amongst others:

Marketing Campaigns

  • Execute and manage marketing campaigns and activities for the College’s various programme/course offerings (both digital and traditional marketing)
  • Build strong brand identity and image through appropriate communications and collaterals about the College’s research achievements, awards, student & alumni features etc.
  • Analyse current marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement

Content Generation & Management

  • Generate and manage content ideas (including but not limited to copy, visuals, infographics, etc.) for strategic presentations, EDMs, social media, student blogs, bulletins/newletters
  • Work closely with Academic Programmes teams and other stakeholders to act as a brand guardian for all communications and collaterals
  • Produce high quality content across various channels, including social media and press releases.

Outreach & Promotion

  • Increase engagements with students and alumni through innovative means
  • Provide tangible support for outreach activities and relevant official events, e.g. Open House, Orientation, Convocation, conferences/seminars, MOU signing, visits etc
  • Design appropriate publicity and promotional materials for all such activities/events/engagements

Brand and Digital Communications

  • Create and conceptualize branding strategy for digitial and traditional media
  • Drive an integrated strategy and/or set of initiatives to enhance the visibility of the College’s various offerings (including programme/course offerings, research etc) towards maintaining excellent global rankings, attracting top students and faculty, as well as being appealing to corporate/industry partners and potential donors
  • Engage relevant stakeholders regularly to source and ensure a pipeline of content/ideas for continual communications

Website Management

  • Act as the brand guardian of the College’s website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date content
  • Ensure the website offers enhanced user experience
  • Manage the website to always align with the College’s branding needs and effectively communicates the College’s strengths in various academic and research areas

Other responsibilities:

  • Generate data/reports and make presentations to the College Management for accountability over the team’s efforts
  • Provide knowledgeable and relevant advisory to College Management and stakeholders, as well as participate in supporting University-level initiatives, when necessary
  • Ensure all activities are resource-efficient, timely, of excellent quality, and definitely in compliance with all University’s policies and guidelines

Job Requirements:

The incumbent needs to possess the following:

  • Recognized university degree or equivalent (in media-related field or marketing preferred), with at least 10 years’ experience in engagement and outreach in a tertiary education institution
  • At least 4 years of supervisory experience leading a dynamic administrative team
  • Strong analytical, system-thinking and project-management skills to solve complex issues within challenging time frames
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of publicity tools
  • High level of commitment and initiative

The level of appointment offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience.
