Description:

Wilkes University invites applicants for an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement in the Advancement division. The Advancement division is a growing department at Wilkes where we are adding this new role as well as expanding our team in key development positions as well as we begin the process of our next campaign.
The successful candidate is responsible for helping to strengthen relationships and improve communication with alumni and other constituents and to plan and implement programs, events, and services which will provide broader opportunities for meaningful engagement with the University. In addition, the Assistant Director will plan and execute the office’s digital engagement strategy to increasingly engage with alumni and constituents on social media and through other digital platforms. The candidate will be expected to innovate, anticipate, and execute programs in collaboration with campus partners and external constituents.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with communication strategies and implementation, social media and digital content creation, event planning, and volunteer management. A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a similar field is required, and at least 1-3 years of experience in higher education or communications. Staffing events on evenings and weekends and the ability to travel to events will be required on occasion. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
