  • Five years or more of related experience required.
  • Experience with Homeowner Associations (HOA) and real estate development is a plus.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Director of Finance will be responsible for the overall financial management of the Resort including Club Management, HOA and Real Estate Venture, and work closely with the Director of Finance and accounting team to ensure the Resort’s financial success. The position will report directly to the Brasada Director of Finance and will direct the work of the Brasada Accounting Team, including the HOA Controller.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Resort’s accounting and finance team including hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Oversee the Resort’s accounting and financial systems including accounts payable, accounts receivable, labor management and payroll.
  • Oversee the monthly financial closing process including the posting of journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports ensuring the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and the company’s financial reporting standards.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations including fixed assets.
  • Ensure successful daily and monthly cash management in compliance with the company’s policy.
  • Prepare monthly tax reporting and ensure accurate sales, use, and occupancy tax returns and all other local and state tax filings as required.
  • Assist with outside auditors and providing needed information for periodic internal and external audits.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting as requested.
  • Continually looking for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and hotel through the leveraging of technology and processes.
  • Uphold internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Uphold the Resort’s values of caring and respect in every interaction.
  • Ability to communicate in detail in all required meetings
