Description:

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:

  • Clothing, Safety Equipment

Associates will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The resort provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing in

    order to prepare official memorandum and correspondence as well as provide clear and

    meaningful instructions, guidance and counseling to all associates.

  • Two years prior housekeeping management experience.

  • Knowledge of inventories, scheduling, and productivity.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish helpful.
  • Knowledge of laundry process.
  • High school math level required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to effectively manage time.

EDUCATION

At least 2 year college (associate) degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

2 years prior housekeeping management

Responsibilities:

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/POSITION PURPOSE:

To oversee and ensure overall cleanliness of the resort, while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation. Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests, and to ensure that all guests’ experiences are distinctively supreme.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Select, train, supervise, schedule, develop, discipline, conduct performance appraisals, and counsel associates according to Trump Hotel Collection Corporation policies and procedures. Establish and document policies and procedure for Housekeeping dept.
  • Coordinate with Director of Rooms and Director of Engineering in the repair and maintenance program as it relates to guest rooms and public areas. Establish cyclical programs to ensure maintenance of guestrooms and public space. Partner with the Director of Front Office to ensure optimal arrival process for the resort guests.
  • Maintain inventory of guest rooms and housekeeping supplies including all month end inventories. Establish procedures to ensure prudent use of resort supplies. Create and manage lost and found process for the resort. Incorporate training in daily operation a well as promote a safe work environment.
  • Establish linen controls and inventory procedure to ensure appropriate care is given to guestroom linen by laundry facility. Have quality control measures in place internally to identify a problem immediately and quickly react to resolve the issue. Ensure linen is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Purchase all basic cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment. Monitor and control cost/expenses to fall in line with annual budget.
  • Monitor payroll hours and reports and complete reports (ie, forecasts, annual budgets, plans and actions, etc), establish a means of accessing productivity within the department.
  • Ensure property operation meets internal audit standards as well as Cendyn scores. Ensure all approved Trump standards are adhered to or obtain approval for exemption. Participate in inspecting guestrooms to ensure adherence to cleanliness and brand standards.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire associates to meet and exceed standards, and promote associate empowerment and loyalty.
  • Attend and participate in any and all meetings/activities that support the success of Trump National Doral Miami including hands on support of any and all departments.

OTHER DUTIES:

Assimilate into Trump Hotel Collection Culture Standards through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of the Trump Cornerstones. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Attends, as well as schedules and conducts departmental meetings
