JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Director of Human Resources and Operations will be a thought partner and leader, manage human resources functions, operations and function-specific projects for our office. Reporting to the Executive Director, Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX you will provide full-cycle HR support for team members and assist with projects and initiatives impacting the university and our team. The skills and approaches needed to be successful in this role include discretion, confidentiality, and a high level of initiative in handling a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic, supportive environment. An entrepreneurial spirit will be helpful in developing processes, resources and tools to support an expanding team in an effort to the Executive Director’s vision for a positive, supportive, operationally sound work environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in roles involving HR operations, employee relations, talent management and related projects.
  • Knowledge and applied experience in the full cycle talent management function.
  • Applied experience using project management best practices.
  • Previous experience working with teams with a focus on goal planning, resource management and operational oversight.
  • General knowledge of Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX matters.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with HR systems and project management tools.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to promoting a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
  • Interest in working in a decentralized organization with diverse teams.
