Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree and four years’ related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience evaluating academic transcripts for the purpose of awarding transfer credit
  • Familiarity with Accuplacer testing for ESL, ATB, and Math advanced placement
  • Familiarity with transfer curriculum issues and testing practices
  • Knowledge of credit for prior learning assessment and CUNY proficiency indices a plus
  • Demonstrated experience using technology to increase operational efficiency
  • Proven knowledge of the enrollment cycle and related processes in higher education
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft Oracle-based systems such as CUNYfirst
  • Strong written communication with extreme attention to detail
  • A high level of organization and ability to work efficiently and independently on multiple tasks, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be available to work evening hours and weekends as necessary
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments, in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Implement business practices and workflows to improve the transfer credit process; evaluating prior Credit Learning, CUNY, and external transcript review.
  • Support the Director of Strategic Enrollment, in testing procedures with respect to exam proctoring and placement.
  • Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs and Academic Advisement to build and maintain databases and documents related to transfer credit evaluations and testing course placement records.
  • Work with queries in the student information systems to build transfer rules and verify/update student testing scores when necessary.
  • Obtain course descriptions, catalogs, and institutional information to support the review of unevaluated courses and maintains testing scores/course placement rubrics as needed.
  • Enters confidential student information into computerized systems to administer and track exams.
  • Maintains and updates the testing and transfer credit evaluation website and intranet.
  • Supports day-to-day management of enrollment and retention activities.
  • Acts as School Certifying Officer for Veterans to certify enrollment for veterans using the Enrollment Management system.
  • Generate relevant data reports
