Assistant Director (Procurement)

[What the role is]
Heading the Procurement Section in the Finance Division, you will be responsible for managing the planning, organisation and operations of the procurement function.
[What you will be working on]
You will develop procurement strategies to achieve cost-effective results. You will continuously review and improve the spend analysis, technology, policies and procedures to enhance governance, results and increase operational efficiencies in procurement. You will provide value-add advice to operating divisions on procurement issues and upkeep the procurement competencies of officers conducting procurement in CAAS.

[What we are looking for]

• Tertiary or equivalent professional qualification
• At least 8-10 years of solid experience in procurement, with a track record in supervision
• Independent, resourceful, energetic, proactive, results-oriented leader and team player
• Strong thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good project management and decision support skills
• Conversant with integrated software applications

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
