Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, including 3 years of external or internal auditing.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with US GAAP, IFRS and SOX compliance is essential.
  • Experience in a multi-currency environment is a must.
  • Experience with SaaS, multiple element arrangements and revenue recognition.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is critical.
  • Bilingual (Fluent in both English and French), ability to communicate in other languages is a strong asset.
  • o Knowledge of English appropriate to the duties is required, as the incumbent must work closely with members of the finance team located in different countries around the world.
  • Good understanding of US Sales & use Tax is an asset.
  • Experience with an ERP system. Experience with SAP or Epicor is preferred

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Corporate Controller supports the Global Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Global Controller by becoming the lead on various audits: internal audits, external audits (domestic and international), statutory and tax audits (domestic and international as well).
  • Assist the Global Controller on technical accounting matters.
  • Responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements for the North American Entities (Canada, US, Latin America).
  • Responsible for managing the North American accounting team and their activities.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of complex balance sheet accounts and the analysis of monthly P&L variances
  • Assist with supplying quarter-end and year-end required documentation.
  • Participate in special projects as required (ERP and various systems implementation), inside the Finance Department, or as Finance’s representative.
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce the production cycle time of financial information.
  • Work closely with other departments on various business needs.
