About the Role
As an Assistant Estimator at Team Electric, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technical refit services by assisting in the preparation of accurate project estimates. Your responsibilities will involve gathering and organizing data from drawings, excels or folders, managing documentation, and assisting with calculations to ensure that all estimates align with project requirements.
In this role, you will:
Collect and organize information such as material costs, labor costs, and project timelines.
Prepare and maintain project documents, including estimates and bid proposals.
Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and vendors to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
Perform calculations and estimations in Excel to support the development of project budgets and schedules.
Provide general administrative support to the estimating team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and handling communications.
Additionally, you will assist in ensuring that all estimates comply with regulatory standards and industry requirements, particularly in areas related to energy efficiency and electrical system upgrades.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate for the Estimator Assistant position at Team Electric will have:
Proficiency in Excel for performing necessary calculations and organizing data.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A solid understanding of project documentation and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Experience in an administrative or supporting role, particularly within a technical or engineering environment, is advantageous.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Should be prepared for occasional travel as part of the role
Your organizational skills, combined with your ability to assist in the preparation of accurate estimates, will help Team Electric continue to deliver successful projects that meet the evolving needs of the maritime industry.
