FASHION DESIGN ASSISTANT

Kim & Co, a Montreal-based company founded in 1988, is internationally recognized for its elegant, comfortable, and timeless clothing, designed by women for women. Our collections, proudly made in Canada, celebrate beauty and confidence in every woman.
We are seeking a Fashion Design Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and management of our collections.

Responsibilities:Design Collaboration:

  • Assist in developing styles and collections aligned with the company’s vision and sales trends.
  • Support the creation of technical sketches and mood boards for design concepts.
  • Analyze sales data and best-sellers to suggest new style ideas.

Merchandising Support:

  • Review and update worksheets to ensure consistency in quantities, prices, product codes, and colors.
  • Prepare final documents for worksheets, monitor their receipt, and address amendments when necessary.
  • Develop product guides, cost sheets, and technical documents for collections.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Keep deadlines and schedules updated to ensure team priorities are met.
  • Prepare and analyze gross profit reports and contribute to sales performance evaluations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product-related issues promptly.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work closely with merchandising, design, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Provide backup support for merchandising, design, and administrative tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in the fashion industry with a minimum of 2-3 years in a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers.
  • Adobe Illustrator (Must Have)
  • Proficiency in tools such as Illustrator, Excel, and ERP systems (an asset).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, dynamic, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
