REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience within an Assistant Financial Controller role
  • Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or close to completion.
  • Ability to work with Senior Stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience using Sage, Anaplan and SQL is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities:

This role is within the Beauty Division’s Finance function, reporting into the Financial Controller and offers exposure to our global brands LookFantastic, Skinstore and RY.

The role is split of 2 key areas:

  • Financial control and ownership of the month end processes within the Core Beauty division
  • Commercial reporting and analysis; driving and challenging all aspects of the P&L, delivering key profit and working capital initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • A proactive approach to P&L performance, acting quickly on both risks and opportunities
  • A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of non-financial key stakeholders.
  • Weekly forecasting and rolling budget processes, analysing variances and identifying areas to improve.
  • Balance sheet ownership, including maintaining control of GL accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Continuous improvement of processes.
  • Identifying and carrying out training of the finance team in line with their objectives.
  • Providing cover in the absence of the Financial Controller.
  • Reviewing and submitting of management accounts pack to CFO.
  • Business partnering with commercial teams to understand areas of profit improvement and cost saving initiatives.
