JOB SUMMARY:
As the Assistant Food & Drink Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the F&D Management Team in overseeing all aspects of our dining operations. You will ensure the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader with a passion for the hospitality industry, strong management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role within the Food & Beverage industry, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Passionate about providing an outstanding level of guest service
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant software (e.g Microsoft Office suite, ResDiary)
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Food & Drink department, including a-la-carte and buffet restaurants, bars, and banquets.
- Supervise and train the F&D team to deliver exceptional guest experience.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen team on menu items and guest feedback
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and a focus on resolution and satisfaction.
- Oversee scheduling and labour management to ensure efficient and cost-effective staffing.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Food & Drink department.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and consistent service and product standards.
- Support marketing and promotional efforts to enhance the visibility and appeal of the hotel’s dining offerings.
- Cover duty management shifts as required, ensuring smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
