About the role
Under the supervision and delegation of the Site Coordinator Food Services Community and Oral Health Directorate (COH), the purpose of this role to be responsible for the coordination and supervision of Food Services staff to ensure a high standard of Food Services is achieved in accordance with current operating model, governance, standards including relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:
- Coordinate and oversee the work practices, rostering, performance, efficiency and productivity of OO3 and OO2 Food Service staff and ensure all duties are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently to meet relevant standards and legislation.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure the motivation of the Food Service team to deliver services at a consistently high standard. Take a leading and supportive role in promoting cooperation and teamwork.
- Under the specialist advice and supervision of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH review and revise operating methodology, materials, equipment, environment/utilities, and staffing needs to ensure maximum efficiency, operating safety and a high standard of product, service reliability and delivery.
- Act as the Food Safety Officer for Zillmere RTCP and Halwyn Centre ensuring the compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations and the ongoing maintenance and auditing of the Food Safety Program in consultation with and under the direction of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH.
- Actively participate in Food Services quality activities.
- Oversees completion and maintains compliance of organisational and departmental mandatory training requirements.
- Coordinating and maintaining compliance for the completion of Performance Development Plans for supervisory and base level staff
- Under specialist advice and supervision of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH manage any performance, HR and capability issues. Participate in the resolution of grievances, leave and entitlement queries.
