Located in the heart of Downtown Berkeley, this 17 story property with 331 suites features over 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space and a rooftop restaurant and bar with expansive and inspiring views of the city.

At this time, we are seeking an outgoing, experienced, guest service driven leader to join us as our Assistant Front Office Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Orchestrate and expedite the registration and checkout process at the front desk.
- Oversee the daily operation of the front desk.
- Assist in the management of the Front Office team.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our guests from the Front Desk, including but not limited to checking guests in to the hotel, checking guests out of the hotel, and answering all guest questions or concerns.
- Supervise the Front Office team, ensuring proper procedures are followed and guest interactions are favorable. Provide real time feedback and coaching for continued improvement of the team.
- Develop and maintain programs to improve the operations of the Front Office team, especially in relation to upsell revenues, customer service scores, loyalty enrollments, and employee engagement.
- Assist in handling difficult situations, including but not limited to face to face interactions, phone calls, or electronic correspondence.
- Manage ongoing training to Front Office team.
- Maintain all front desk related equipment and a par stock of supplies.
- Maintain a daily log of all guests’ opportunities with corrective action steps. Follow-up on any unresolved situations in a timely manner and pass on appropriate information to other Managers for handling.
- Follow-up on credit opportunities.
- Perform duties as the Manager on Duty for the entire hotel when needed.
- Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
- Review current day’s expected arrivals and check all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly and other departments are notified of room assignment.
- Direct and train front office staff. Assist in new-hire and on-going training. Direct and assist front office staff in organizing breaks, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and according to schedule.
- Create and manage weekly schedule and adjust accordingly to ensure budget guidelines are followed.
- Other duties as required/assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous Marriott brand experience a plus including experience with FOSSE
Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $60,000.00/Yr. - $65,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience
