Micron’s Legal Department is poised for growth and innovation, and we are seeking an Assistant General Counsel to support our Commercial Transactions Team. This role will help drive improvements in Micron’s contract processes and policies, and will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and processing high volumes of complex capital equipment, manufacturing, technology development, licensing, engineering, and procurement contracts required by Micron’s business. This role will be based in either San Jose, California or Boise, Idaho.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Micron’s Manufacturing, Capital Equipment, and Procurement Teams to support the global operations of Micron’s semiconductor fabrication facilities.
- Draft, negotiate, and process high volumes of complex capital equipment, manufacturing, technology development, licensing, engineering, and other procurement contracts.
- Serve as a key resource in Micron’s end-to-end contract management function supporting the business and Procurement.
- Help drive implementation of legal efficiencies to support and improve contract processes and operations, including developing best-in-class templates and negotiation playbooks.
- Represent Micron legally in commercial interactions and disputes with suppliers, while balancing the business interests of clients with the ultimate fiduciary responsibility to the company.
- Provide proactive strategic advice and guidance to internal teams regarding business and legal issues and risks.
