Responsibilities:
- Manages and maintains operations throughout the facility including the gaming floor and food and beverage outlets. Oversees cash flow and security for the facility.
- Leads and inspires professionalism within the operation through education and example. Maintains strong levels of communication between departments and provides support to staff to maintain a high and consistent level of performance and customer service.
- Educates and trains managers and supervisors on new initiatives and new procedures and ensures they communicate the same to applicable staff.
- Provides leadership in all emergency situations and ensures that staff members are aware of their individual responsibilities in an emergency.
- Provides input on employee promotions and is involved in the selection of employees for promotion, ensures probations are tracked.
- Maintains good knowledge of labour relations laws and regulations and the impact to the site.
- Acts as a mentor to staff, provides feedback, and assists them with work related problems or concerns. Monitors staff morale and recognizes employee achievements.
- Communicates with all department heads and with management at head office and provides operational and other requested reports.
- Acts as a resource regarding all policies and procedures as set by Gateway Casinos and BCLC and ensures that they are upheld.
- Takes on additional responsibilities as required
