Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

As the Assistant General Manager for Rancho El Dorado, you will support the General Manager in effectively managing and operating the community to enhance the property value and resident experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives, financial operations, vendor management, and building positive relationships with residents and vendors.
Compensation: $24+ per hour, based on experience
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, capable of addressing issues proactively
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of adjusting to changing demands and priorities
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset in identifying and addressing issues before they escalate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education and certifications in property management or related disciplines are desirable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time in an office environment
  • Able to safely lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds
    Work Location: Rancho El Dorado, 22326 Rancho El Dorado Pkwy, Maricopa, AZ 85138; Based out of the Gilbert Corporate Office, 161 E Rivulon Blvd, Suite #105 Gilbert, AZ 85297
    Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p with some evenings and weekends as needed.
    Travel Requirements: Some local travel with use of personal vehicle when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Board of Directors to establish and execute strategic initiatives for the community
  • Assist with the community’s financial operations as needed
  • Assist the General Manager in managing the business affairs of the community and ensuring compliance with governing documents and policies
  • Coordinate and supervise community maintenance activities, ensuring proper upkeep of the property, common areas, and amenities
  • Support vendor management, including contract negotiations, monitoring of service quality, and compliance with terms and conditions and following up as needed
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and team to address resident inquiries, concerns, and work orders ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction
  • Assist in planning and organizing Board meetings, taking meeting minutes and assisting with other community events
  • Attend monthly board meetings with General Manager and off site vendor meetings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as community association governing documents and policies
  • Track non-compliance/violation issues, send appropriate notices according to established policies
  • Communicate regularly with residents through newsletters, emails, and meetings
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, vendors and staff, promoting a sense of community and teamwork
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to community management
  • Handle emergency and on-call situations when needed
