What’s on offer?
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Group Insurance Manager to join the team in Richmond. You will assist the management of insurance processes for Fulton Hogan Australia and New Zealand ensuring alignment with Fulton Hogan’s Group Insurance Guidelines.

As part of the role, you will support the renewal of Fulton Hogan’s Insurance Program and provide insurance advice to business units and JV participants in relation to insurance requirements for projects, tenders, and business activities. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaising with insurance broker and other service providers to support advice given to given to business units about insurance.
  • Working with the business to gain understanding of new, changing, and emerging risks and ensuring appropriate alignment to the insurance program or ensuring the appropriate elevation of the risk assessment within the business.
  • Provide input to the monthly Board reporting to the Australian and New Zealand CEOs on insurance activities.
  • Review proposed legislative and insurance industry trends and assess potential impacts on Fulton Hogan.
  • Undertake management of insurance claims. This includes providing advice on policy response and review possible actions with the business personnel, brokers, and underwriters with a view to minimising cost exposure or maximising indemnity under the insurance policy.

How will you connect to the role?
To be successful in the role, you will, ideally possess at least 5 years of experience in general insurance programs, premium calculations and claims management and have a strong understanding of insurance procurement and insurance brokering. A strong background working within corporate insurance structure and a relevant degree qualification in Insurance or Risk Management is preferred. Ability to develop relationships with all levels of stakeholders across the business from frontline workforce to the Group’s senior management and experience and working knowledge of financial risk management concepts, strategy, and systems will set you up well for the role.
