JOB OVERVIEW

The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking an experienced and dedicated IB Diploma Programme Coordinator to oversee all aspects of the IB Diploma Programme for our Secondary Section. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth delivery of the IB curriculum, coordinate with students, staff, and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), and lead extracurricular activities aligned with the school’s mission.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Teaching qualification or certification.
  • Experience with the IB Diploma Programme and familiarity with IB standards and regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail, especially in managing schedules, records, and assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with students, staff, parents, and external organisations.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in program delivery.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships and act as a role model for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main liaison between the school, IBO, students, parents, and teachers, managing all relevant communication and program logistics.
  • Coordinate IB-related activities, including internal assessments, submission of grades, and preparation for external and mock exams.
  • Support students with academic guidance, including course selection, CAS, Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge requirements.
  • Work closely with the Head of University Guidance Services to provide information on further studies, scholarships, and university admissions.
  • Oversee student records, ensuring accuracy in assessments and performance data, and regularly report on student progress to parents.
  • Lead an extracurricular club, promoting the school’s vision and fostering a positive learning environment.
