Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitality Assistant to join our dynamic team at Notre Dame at Kylemore. This role is integral to providing exceptional service to our diverse community of guests, including students, faculty, conference attendees, and visitors. The position requires working in a unique setting that combines academic, spiritual, and cultural programming in the historic Kylemore Abbey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating conference and event preparations, including room setups and guest requirements
- Support the accommodation needs of guests, ensuring rooms are properly prepared and maintained
- Help manage dietary restrictions and special requirements for program participants
- Assist with transportation arrangements when needed
- Support the coordination of academic conferences, spiritual retreats, and professional development events
- Help maintain facilities and ensure proper setup for various activities
- Assist with check-in procedures and guest orientation
- Support accessibility requirements for guests with special needs
- Help coordinate with cleaning teams for room configurations
- Assist in emergency situations and provide support to guests as needed

Working Hours and Environment
This position requires working 40 hours per week, with flexibility during peak season month. During these periods, you may be required to work overnight shifts up to three nights per week. Schedule will vary based on programming needs.
