THE JOB ITSELF

The Housing Maintenance Unit has a vacancy for the post of Assistant Housing Maintenance Officer based at Carnaby Depot.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Housing Maintenance Unit in developing and monitoring the Unit`s Repairs and Maintenance and Void properties.
The role includes assisting the Principal Housing Maintenance Officer and his team, dealing with contractors, tenants, and other service areas. You will be responsible for managing data to ensure that performance targets and legislation are met. Other areas of responsibility include minute taking, letter writing and producing reports.
The post holder must have good customer service skills, be computer literate and they must also have experience and a proven track record of working with contractors and tenants or customers. Knowledge of the Building Industry would be desirable but not essential.
The post will be for 1 year fixed term contract covering maternity leave.
