Description:
VESTAS TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS > RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D) > NACELLES R&D > CONTROL HARDWARE MODULE > BACKUP SYSTEMS & NAI
Vestas Technology & Operations is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within R&D, you’ll find our department, Backup Systems & NAI as part of Control Hardware Module.
The Control Hardware team ensures the effective functioning and coordination of the turbines’ Low-Voltage systems and control systems. Our daily work involves close collaboration with key stakeholders, as we support all turbine systems across both onshore and offshore projects.
Our primary focus lies in designing complete electrical power backup solutions. This includes specifying electrical panels and backup functions. Additionally, we actively engage in innovation projects, feasibility studies, and prototype testing. Our goal is product development.
Our core competencies revolve around electrical engineering and integrating products based on requirements specifications.
Within the Backup Systems team, our critical responsibility is ensuring uninterrupted system operation during grid disturbances. We achieve this by providing power through various AC or DC UPS systems, such as high-power DC Li-ion systems and 24V UPS. From the initial idea phase to manufacturing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning, we take ownership of this vital function.
