We are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to support our Finance Manager in both internal and external reporting. This will include the production of the monthly management accounts, mainly in the APAC region (although not exclusively), in a timely manner. In addition, the candidate will be expected to be significantly involved in tasks relating to International Compliance deadlines, for example, VAT returns, production of statutory accounts and corporation tax will be completed.
This is a key role within the international branch of the Finance Department where the candidate will be expected to develop an in-depth working knowledge of the territories that they will be working in. The candidate is expected to be proficient with excel and working with ERP systems. They will have strong communication skills and be able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Cash reporting - Providing daily cash reporting on the APAC region to key internal stakeholders
  • Updating the international cashflow forecast on a weekly basis.
  • Updating cashbooks on a weekly basis to reflect all transactions & coding for cash allocations, downloading & filing bank statements as well as proof of payments.
  • Generating monthly accruals, prepayments and analysis of credit card expenditure to provide to the third-party bookkeepers.
  • Ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner ahead of the month end cycle (pre WD 3).
  • Production of intercompany reconciliations for APAC, ensuring balances agree with other group companies.
  • Raising intercompany invoices. Liasing with the UK/ International on intercompany invoices being raised correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Supporting on balance sheet reconciliations and analysis such as reconciling the VAT and payroll accounts.
  • Identifying and clearing up of historic balances
  • Liaising with third party bookkeeper regularly to provide accruals, cashbooks, communications of changes/errors to month end numbers.
  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts for smaller entities.
  • Assisting with interim and annual audits. Other international entities may require support on their audits.
  • International Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Providing the data for monthly VAT returns in APAC to the third-party tax advisors
  • Supporting on providing TBs to third-party bookkeepers to produce financial statements in a timely manner, ensuring compliance deadlines are flagged to the Finance Manager
  • ERP System/Ad Hoc tasks
